How to Go for Economic Development of Devendra Kula Vellalar Community in Tamil Nadu

Feb. 15, 2023, 2:12 a.m.   chelladurai

Dr. P.Arunachalam Dear Distinguished DKV brothers, DEVENDRA KULA VELALAR COMMUNITY,  HINDUISM AND BJP PARTY:  Dear distinguished DKV brothers, recently, I have seen a video of a group of Devendra Kula Velalar ( DKV) senior people including an ex MLA, protesting or raising some concerns against shifting of DKV community from the SC list and restore it in   their original BC list. The main reasons for their concerns are the poor DKV people will lose their employment opportunities available for them at present, being in the list of Scheduled Caste (SC) Communities, at the central as well as Tamil Nadu State. The second concern is it is an agenda of  Bharathiya Janatha Party (BJP) party. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)/Sangh Parivar/Swadeshi Sanathan Sangh (SSS) is behind this move. So they wanted to stop or protect the DKV people from Sangh Parivar/RSS. I don't want to criticize them because they have contributed a lot to DKV community by creating a lot of awareness programs earlier. We need not explain anything more to them about the culture and tradition of DKV community.  At the same time Just I want to provide some additional information about the role of DKV community in the society, which were already discussed in detailed by various Tamil scholars, historians and archaeological experts not only at the India level but also at global level. POVERTY AMONG THE DKV COMMUNITY: Definitely nobody can deny the economic conditions of the DKV community at present. A majority of the DKV community people are doing manual work in the agricultural field and living in a poor economic conditions , since agriculture is their tradition work and also not a profitable sector. The middle men who are doing agricultural trade taking away 2/3 of the profit at present. To a large extent it is true. We have to accept it. They may be economically poor but their past history and culture were entirely different.  The DKV community people had enjoyed “Economic Power” by owning a large areas of land. In fact they were the land owning community in Tamil land just before the Telugu Nayaks had invited Tamilnadu.  The Nayak rulers, being the winner of the war they had with DKV Kings, took away the land rights, occupied their lands and distributed among Telugu Military Groups and the people who supported them in defeating the DKV rulers in Tamil Nadu. It is an “universal practice” all over the world that the Kings who won the wars used to punish the King who lost the war and their followers severely by killing them and also by taking away their rights and their wealth. Something happened in the case of DKV community and their King. Finally the DKV people had become landless cooli workers in their own lands as slaves.  By the time when British rule was established in India, a majority of the DKV community people were in a very poor economic conditions .   They had lost their lands, and all their movable wealth like gold assets and cattle farm and finally education and martial arts also. The DKV community almost lost their dignity, culture, and tradition in the society, by the time when British rule was established. As a result a group of DKV people were converted into other religions like Islam and Christianity to have a dignified life.  Another group of DKV people had migrated to Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, many island nations in the Indian Ocean and South Africa as Manuel workers.   Considering their poor economic conditions the British Government had included the DKV community in the SC/ST list, which mainly consisting of the communities who had been suppressed for generations in the caste hierarchy practiced in India by called them as untouchable communities. The Non- Scheduled Caste Communities  have started treating DKV as one of the untouchable communities since their caste name in the in the list. The Dravidian parties including congress and communists , for their part, have had created a lot of caste conflicts between DKV and Mukkulathor communities, DKV and Nadar communities, deliberately for cornering their votes in favour of them. Still now the Dravidian parties are following the some strategy of dividing these communities on caste lines for their benefits.  Meanwhile,  On the other hand, a group of Tamil writers, historians, sociologists, anthropologists,  political leaders, well wishers, and political leaders within DKV community and out -side DKV community have started discussing about the socio-economic conditions of the DKV community, their long term demand of social status, sharing of political power etc etc., created an awareness among the DKV community.  Later they realised they were not coming under the criteria’s of untouchable communities and they are getting  “prime respects” in most of the ancient temples in Tamilnadu. Their connections with Lord Narayanan, Indralok leader  Devendran,  Tamil God Murugan, his wife Devayani,  Lord Siva, and his wife Parvathi etc etc. were revealed through various discussions and various festivals of the temples in Tamil Nadu. Though economically poor the DKV community has understood how much association they have with the creators and the protectors of the Universe (GOD and Goddesses) .
Employment opportunities, educational opportunities under reservation system,  have, definitely, created an economically advanced  intellectual group within the DKV community after independence.  Liberalisation, Privatisation and Globalisation of the Indian economy also helped DKV to improve their economic conditions substantially. These advanced groups in the DKV have started a movement of taking away the DKV community from SC list to restore their name in original BC list since DKV community was originally in the BC list before 1936 and wanted to live with their own culture and tradition. No political parties in Tamil Nadu initially came forward to address their demands except BJP. It is the BJP party which recognised the culture and tradition of DKV people and wanted bring them under the BJP folder. Since the DKV community is very much associated Hindu Gods and goddesses definitely they would be a major  vote bank for the BJP party in Tamil Nadu.  There is no doubt about that.  If we speak openly, there are two Communities in Tamil Nadu very much loyal to BJP at present, one is Brahmins and the other one is DKV community though most of the major communities have started moving towards BJP enmass at present. Once DKV community gets into a non SC/ST list with the support of BJP,  they will be a permanent vote bank for the BJP party. They will not change their loyalty since their culture is very much associated with Hindu Religion, Mahabharat,  Hindu Gods and Goddesses which are the base for BJP party in India.  The Dravidian parties trying their level best to keep them in the SC list so that they will remain to be a vote bank for them.  Some dalit organizations and parties also are playing a negative role against the delisting of DKV community from SC list. But nobody can Stop the DKV people going out of SC /ST list. May be  delayed but may take place at anytime.
DKV AND HINDU SYSTEM: Now I would like to bring  the kind attention of the DKV people who wanted the DKV community be in the SC list so that they keep on enjoying the SC reservation benefits. Your idea will not work out now. Now everything changed. The DKV people realised and very well understood their history, culture and tradition. Hindu culture is the culture of DKV people. All Gods and goddesses are associated with DKV community. Lord Narayana is very much associated with Devendran, the Lord of Indralock or the Head/Leader of Indralock. Lord Narayana took his Vamana Avatar, ( as a dwarf Brahmin boy- one of the 10 avatars of Lord Narayanan),  to safeguard the position of Devendran as the leader of Indralok.  Devendaran and the Thevars in the Indralock prayed to Lord Narayanan to safeguard the leadership of Devendran in the Indralock. Otherwise King Mahabali , who ruled his Kingdom with Justice, could have become Head of Indralok.    Mahabharata, One of the two Epics of India, is the story of Arjunan, son of Devendran. Lord Narayana took Krishna Avatar to teach Bhagat Geeta to the world/people and he identified devendran's son Arjunan was the right person for running the drama. Lord Krishna taught him everything before starting of the War. Aravan who is the son of Arjunan had sacrificed his life for the success of the Mahabharata War in favour of Arjunan.  Tamil God Murugan, son of Lord Siva, married to Devayani, the daughter of Devendran. Lord Siva and Parvati took the Avatar of Mallar and Mallathi to cultivate paddy in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. So the DKV community is not an ordinary community like others in India. That's why we call the Hindu religion, is the religion of the DKV community and automatically they will support BJP party because BJP party only promoting the Hindu system. BJP party and its leaders also know it very well.  So in future DKV community will be a permanent vote bank for BJP party.  As I said earlier Brahmins and DKV communities would be a permanent vote bank for the BJP party in Tamil Nadu. Nobody can change them. Some Dalit minded DKV brothers used to pose questions like whether DKV community will get political power after going out of SC list is not to be discussed here. Political power and social status are travelling into two different directions.  Bramin Community enjoyed high status in Tamil Nadu. How many MLAs, MPs and Ministers are from Brahmin Community in Tamil Nadu. In Tamilnadu there are only limited  or no MLAs, MPs, and Minister's from Brahmins community at present. The Dravidian parties will not give political power to Brahmins. No chance will be given to Brahmins to contest in the elections and also make them ministers in the state level due to two factors, one is lack of vote bank among Brahmins and they are the enemies of Dravidan system is the another one.  It is the their of dravidan Parties.   Still Brahmins are enjoying the High social status in Tamil Nadu because of their associations with the Temples. Similar to Brahmins, DKV community also may not get more positions or powers in politics in the short. Once you are all out of SC list , your status will be upgraded in the society because of your association's with Hindu God's and Goddesses.    DKV community need not worry about reservation benefits.  Now reservation is available for all communities in India. Even if the DKV community is placed in the “forward  Community” list, there is a reservations for Socially Economically Weaker  (SEW) sections among the forward communities. So your reservation benefits will be ensured wherever you go. The DKV community should work relentlessly to covey to the society and the world is in what way Devendra Kula Vellaler's community is  associated with Lord Narayanan, Lord Siva, Lord Murugan and his wife Devayani.  Generally Valli,  one of Lord Murugans  wife is very well  identified as  " Valli Kurathy" (Tribe).  At the same time his another wife,  Devayani, is not being identified or called simply as “Devayani” and not as "Devayani Devenendran".  Devayani is the Daughter of DKV community.  It is our duty in taking this information to the public. The “Yadav community” in India is getting a lot social status by claiming that “Lord Krishna” is from Yadav community. Another credit of this community is the relationship between Lord Ayyappan and the King of Pandalam. Ayyappan was the adopted son of Pandalam Maharaj Sri. Chandrasekara Pandian, who is considered as one of the descendents of a Pandiya King of Madurai married with a princess of Thiruvananthapuram King. What else you needed more than this to feel proud of your culture and tradition? Why DKV community is not working/propagating all these to the public or to the world scientifically?   May be,  the DKV community, is the only community, not only in India, even at the world level, have directly associated with the Gods and Goddesses of the Universe.  Historians used to argue that India got its Name from the River Indus, running in Pakistan at present. The river Indus got her name from “Indran or Deva-Indran”. So India's name is the name derived from Indiran/Devendran only.  You are the Hindu, and  Hinduism is yours. The DKV community has no other options than supporting the BJP party.  BJP party is your party and Hinduism is your religion.    This is to bring to your kind information that you are (the Devenddra Kula Vellalar community -DKV) in the process of next stage of social recognition in India’s social system (Going back to the original list of Backward Community) for economic development. You already overcome most of the hurdles in the process of social recognitions you lost a few hundred years back. I am writing this small write up from an economist point of view only for the development of DKV community, once you come out of Scheduled Caste list, with respect to education, self employment, starting business, starting industries, entering into government services, migrating to other countries in search of education, employment opportunities, and entering into politics as a powerful leaders not only at state level but also at national level. This community leaders and people already expressed their sincere thanks to Shri. Narendra Modi Ji, Honourable Prime Minister of India and Shir. Amit Shah Ji, Honourable Home Minster of India, and other Central and State Ministers for their kind support, encouragement and recognition of DKV community as a community with great culture, glorious tradition, and lived with dignity before Nayak rulers invaded Tamilnadu. The role of Madam Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Honourable Finance Minister of India and Shri. Gurumoorthy, Editor of Thuglak Journal also should be appreciated to a great extend by the DKV community for their initiatives and encouragement throughout the process of name change. The DKV community fighting for their rights and dignity right from their caste name included in the Scheduled Caste (SC) category in 1930s. . This community has had suppressions, humiliations, negligence, no political recognition because of their name is included in the SC list. The caste conflicts of DKV community with Devar community and Nadar community in Southern Districts of Tamil Nadu are mainly because the DKV is in the SC list. Identifying DKV community with Dalits, Harijans and Adhi Dravida also degraded them in front of the Nadar and Devar communities. The Nadars and Devars started looked down upon the DKV community because the DKV community is one among Dalit communities. How a SC person could claim equality with backward communities is the major problem in southern districts for morethan seven decades. And also a false impression created that the DKV people were getting more employment opportunities in the government services through SC reservation is another area of conflict among these communities. Before categorisation of these three communities as Backward Caste, Most Backward Caste and Scheduled Caste they were living together at village level with harmony. These three communities are generally hard working people and live harmoniously in their respective villages. But the caste categorisation brought disharmony among them. The DKV community is the worst affected after their caste groups included in the SC list. The British wanted to help this community after seen them in a poor economic conditions without looking into their past glorious cultures they had few hundred years back. So the DKV people started fighting for their lost status and rights right from Independence without much success. The murder of DKV leader Shri. Immanuel Sekaran is an eye opener for this community and came out in open to fight for their glorious past. Still then political parties ignored this community’s concerns and no recognition was given. Meanwhile Dr. Ramadas of Paatali Makkal Katch (PMK) came openly as a first political leader recognised this DKV community and wanted to bring this DKV community along with his Vanniyar community. He had declared that both castes are from same family and doing the Farm work. The First Man of Vanniyar community married the daughter of Devendran (Pallan) and called themselves as “Palli”. In fact the recognition of the DKV community by Dr. Ramadas energised the DKV leaders like Shri. Pasupathi Pandian, and Shri. John Pandian to a large extent. When DKV leaders like John Pandian and Pasupathi Pandian were emerging as leaders in souther Tamilnadu the social conditions of the DKV people were in a very bad condition. The non-DKV communities identified them as dalits, harijans and SCs. As I stated earlier the caste conflicts among the Devar, Nadar and Devendran communities were at peak in southern districts. Murders of people from any of these communities were the top news in most of the dailies in southern districts in those days. Because of these caste conflicts no industries came up in these districts. Tamil Nadu government also totally ignored in industrialising these districts. Still now these districts are considered as backward districts as far as industrial development is concerned. Then comes Dr. K. Krishnaswamy, a physician turned social worker and politician, former Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu, to take this DKV community to the next level of fight against the caste groups. What one could say at present is that Dr. Pasupathy Pandian, Dr. John Pandian laid the first level of foundation for the development of this community and the Dr. K. Krishnasway took them into the next level of development in a matured. All these leaders laid a strong and unbreakable foundation for the development of this community. Their contributions for this community are immeasurable and not questionable also. Under the leadership and also the support of Dr. K. Krishnasway and John Pandian, there emerged another group of intellectuals with complete knowledge on Tamil history, about DKV community in Tamil Literature and Tamil Kingdom. Tamil scholars/teachers who are working from primary school to university level done a lot of research work on the cultural and social history of DKV community in Tamil Literature from Sangam Period to the present day development on this community. Shri. M. Thangaraj, the president of Devendra Charitable Trust, Dr. Senthil Mallar, Shir. Karikalan Mallar, Historian Dr. Renuka Mallathi from USA, Sri. Kapilan are highly notable among them. Their research over Tamil literature, arguments, discussions, counter arguments and revelations enlightened this community to a large extent particularly among the young generations. Social Media played a major role on this. Another development is that most of the Tamil scholars and historians, academicians, IAS, IPS, IRS and top level administrative level officers at state and central level also stand with the people who fight for a name change. The DKV youngsters started moving around Shri. Amit Shah right from the day he declared that DKV community is the one who worship cow and not eating-beef. The Social Media also played a major role in creating awareness among the DKV community regarding their cultures, association with temples, car festivals, and their contribution to the Tamil literatures through various sources.
Shir. Gurumurthy, Editor, Thuglak, support is also noteworthy for this community in the name change process.
Historianas like Professor Odisha Balu, Professor Victor and most of the Tamil scholars and historians contributed a lot for this DKV community in creating awareness about their past tradition, culture to regain their identity. The DKV community successfully regained their original identity as Devendra Kula Vellalar community. Now DKV community is taking next level of initiatives for restoring the this name in the original list, that is Backward Community list, as it was before 1930. Almost all leaders and social groups among the DKV community working twenty four hours tirelessly to achieve this target. Definitely you will achieve this with the support of Shri. Modiji and Shri Amit Shah Ji at the earliest and you will be placed a list as you liked by. Name change is over and shortly list change also will take place for DKV community. Now some doubts arise here. Will the name change and shift from SC list to BC/MBC/FC solve your basic problems like education for all, employment for all, income for all, houses for all, and political power for all and overall development of the community, is to be answered now. Your economic development will not be decided by a name change and keeping you in the Backward Community list. You have more challenges in the future than before. So far you fought for recognition and dignity which you lost because you have been kept in the Scheduled Caste list. Now you have to go ahead for economic development. Now you should understand one think that you are living in a highly competitive world with full of challenges. On the other hand a lot of opportunities are also available for the DKV people in the coming years. If you plan/follow scientifically and systematically the points which I suggested here, you will regain your glorious past with economic development within one or two decades. Suggestions: 1. Psychology: The Devendra Kula Vellalar Community people should always keep/develop in their mind is that you are the descendents of great Chera, Chola and Pandia rulers. You have had great culture and tradition as a ruler, fighters, farmers and keepers of cultural activities. You had constructed all the traditional temples, you only constructed all the lakes, ponds, and irrigation canal system, you only conducted Tamil Sangam literary conferences, distributed lands and food grains to others. One more point you have to keep in your mind is that you are the direct descendents of Lord Indiran or Devendran who is the Chief of Indralogam. He is the one who is very much associated with the creator of the world, Lord Brammah, protector of the world, Lord Vishnu and the destroyer of the world, Lord Siva. In Puranas it is clearly established that Lord Mahavishnu took many avatars to safeguard the Lord Devendran. Entire Mahabharata epic is move around Arjunan, who is the son of Lord devendran. Aravan is the one who had sacrificed his life for starting the Mahabharat war is the son of Arjunan only. Lord Devendran only constructed the Indraprashta, now known as Delhi. So you are closely associated with the God and Goddesses of this universe. There are records available stating that only Lord Devendran brought different varieties of paddy to this world with his children, now known as Devendra Kula Vellalar community. No other communities could or have such privilege of claiming this credit. Lord Murugan is your son-in-law only since he got married with your daughter Devayani. Whenever you go to Murugan temple you could proudly say that you are visiting your son-in-laws temple. What credit you need more than that. Feel proud of the greatness of your community. No communities in India could claim this much credit. DKV is the only community in India has a name of a God, that is Devendra. Other communities have their names associated with their work only. So be proud of being the Devendra Kula Vellalar community. You should feel psychologically about your highness. So be proud in telling your community name in the public. 2. Unity: Unity among the leaders from different political parties, social workers, academicians, social media groups, regions, educated and non-educated and youngsters is a must among the DKV community at present. In a democratic system you could follow a party of your choice. But when it comes to DKV stand with your community and fight for your community. You should not hesitate to raise your community issues with your political party leaders, and among your political party followers in any forums. You identify yourself as Devendran and work accordingly. In Kerala, the people were organised under various caste/community groups such as Nair Service Society (NSS), and Ezhava community under the society of Sri Narayana Guru Dharma Paripalana (SNDP). Similarly Muslims and Christians also have their own umbrellas. People will stand with their caste groups first if an issue comes about their community even though following different political parties like LDF, UDF, BJP, Muslim League, and Kerala Congress. The unity will help them increasing the bargaining power of the people with respect to number of MLA or MP seats for their community, number of ministers for their community, number of Mayer’s for their community, Panchayat President post, councillor positions, number of Vice Chancellors, board member of various government agencies, transfer of positions, etc. Our leaders should understand this and move accordingly in the future. They should give up their egos for the development of the DKV communities. The common people should avoid using harmful and hurtful words against our leaders whatever may be their political affliliations. One way or other our leaders have done a lot for our community. We simply should not ignore their hard work and sacrifice. Let them work for the community in their own ways. But when it comes to the DKV community everybody should stand together, then only success will be earlier and easier. With disunity your success will be delayed. 3. Sacrifice for the family: My general appeal to the boys and girls from DKV community is that you should learn to sacrifice your life for the betterment of your families in the society. Look into the Chritian communities in Kerala. A certain percentage of boys and girls sacrifice their life for the service of God as brothers and sisters in churches. In addition to the service to the God, they indirectly boost the status and dignity of the family not only among the Christian communities and but also among other communities in their areas. The Christian children who decided to become sister or brother will get very good English Medium education, training in Ethics, job is ensured, can travel to Vatican, Israel and other parts of the world. This type of sacrificing the life for the family is not there among the DKV community children. Now it the time to think of adopting this practice. DKV children should join the RSS camp in large numbers. Interested children from large families can join to do the Sangam works. Sangam will take care of your food, accommodation, pocket money, education, training for employment and later on you could become an organiser or leader in ABVP and also BJP. There are so many successful leaders emerged from this camp. A large percentage of present BJP leaders are from this camp only. In due course you family will get some economic benefits and it is moral boost to your family, relatives, friends and village people. A point is to be noted here is that this type of sacrificing system was available among the Namboothiri Bramin families in Kerala before Independence. Only the first Namboothiri boy used to marry a Namboothiri girl and the remaining boys will serve the Kingdom without marriage. This type of sacrifice among youngsters is one of the major reason for the social development of Kerala society. 4. Keep friendly and mature relationship: One of the important characters of DKV community is that you react immediately without forecasting the consequences whatever it may be. This may be due to lack of education also. But now you have to bring a fundamental change in your behaviors. Be friendly with your friends from other communities, other religions, other languages, with neibours and regions. You should feel that you are the hero and savior of other people because you are from the Devendran community. Kindly avoid drinks in public places, creating nuisance in public, using abusive words against any persons in pubic, and any other characters which are considered as bad in our society in public. This character is very important for us. Look at the characters of Bramins, Chettiyars and Pillai community. Maximum avoid go to police stations, courts and place of disputes. Marvadi Community from Gujarat doing a lot business in Tamil Nadu. Did we every hear they fight with others in the road side or in the bars. DKV community should learn from these communities. 5. Starting a Bank in the DKV Name The next step for the DKV community is that of starting a bank in the community name or any other name as suggested by the community leaders. Every family and each and every members of the family should take a bank account in their names and a minimum of Rs. 1000/- to be deposited. Financial asset is one of the important characters of development of a community. People should learn the saving habits through banking institutions. Credit facilities, housing facilities, loan for education, loan for starting a business, loan for starting an industry, loan for marriage purposes or festivals should be made available for the people living in rural areas and daily wage workers at reasonable rate of interest. The Ezhava community in Kerala, once a poor section, is now emerged as an economic power house because of the availability of credit and loan facilities through their chit funds and societies. You can also provide employment for the educated unemployed people in this bank. 6. Demand for aided Educational Institutions: Another important step what the DKV community should do is that you have to conduct a survey of aided schools and colleges run by various community groups, religious groups and individuals. Accordingly DKV community should demand a minimum of 15 colleges including medical, law, art and science and engineering colleges under aided category to be run by the DKV community. Similarly a minimum of 100 aided schools from primary level, high school level and Higher Secondary level for the DKV community. Running educational institutions is considered an important aspect of development of a community. It will improve the dignity of this community. Recently the Kerala government has sanctioned six arts and science colleges to be run by minority Hindu communities 7. Starting of Hotels and Restaurants: Another important aspect of development of DKV community is that those who have lands on the road side, highways, near public places, schools, colleges or hospitals should come forward with the idea of starting hotels and restaurants for the common people. You can run veg and non-veg hotels, tea and coffee shops, bakery shops, and any eatable shops. There are agencies ready to provide all the required facilities for starting a business. You can go for organic rice varieties, vegetables, fruits and farm specific milk products. You can have vegetable shops, shops for cereal items etc. 8. Starting of Industries including food processing industries at village level. The DKV community hereafter should not hesitate to start their own industries. There is a lot of opportunities available for processed food items in our society. DKV community can fulfill them. You start food processing industries at village level. Bank loans are available under MUDRA scheme, make in India programme and start up programme for starting a business. You can construct godowns, air-conditioned storage facilities to store paddy, flowers, fruits, vegetables, cereal items first then convert them into value added products to increase the value of the products. You can sell it in Indian market or send it to Gulf countries, European markets, and East Asian markets or wherever market is there for your products. You can control the prize by storing your products in the store houses. You can convert the milk into curd or cheese then store it for long period. Similarly flowers con be converted into perfumes and medicines. The processed onions and garlics are getting 15 times higher prizes than the actual cost of cultivation. And other businesses related to goat form and poultry form also getting a lot of attraction and providing a good earring for the people involved. DKV community should have a hand on this. If you visit country side in the Netherlands or Germany or Poland you could see rural households have all the household animals and food items needed for their families within their farm itself. 9. Migration: The DKV community should learn a lot from Kerala people. Generally people used to say that wherever you go you could see Malayalees. One could see Malayalees all over the world. They migrate for finding opportunities all over the world. In fact they sacrifice many things in their life by working in far away counties or places. This habit is not available among the DKV community in general. DKV life style is very much attached with wife, children, family, land, village and community and culture and system. Because of this life style not moving from their native villages, most of the DKV community people in certain pockets are living in a very poor condition. Farming is our traditional job. There is not doubt about it. It is well and good but it is not profitable one at present. So excess labour should be removed from the farm sector and get opportunities in outside agricultural area within India or abroad. Malyalees used to migrate in search of livelihood wherever possible. Hereafter DKV community also should follow them in large numbers. You should go wherever employment opportunities are available at global level. Sometimes the people wanted to go but don’t have the required qualifications. Government of India introduced a new course known as Bachelors of Vocational Training and Master of Vocational Training. Those who are interested to go abroad can study these courses and can get jobs easily in Gulf countries. There are a lot of opportunities for nursing jobs in western countries. Particularly home nurse’s job is a highly demanded one. Both our girls and boys could study this programme and easily get into the job markets in European counties and west Asian countries with very good salary with all benefits. 10. Use the Titile Devendran: Another important point to be noted is that the DKV people not started using the name Devendran as their surname. Kindly start using the Name " Devendran"  along with your name. It is your Sur name.  Use your Sur name as a tail.  Use of caste title is not being considered as a crime in India.   Do not following the Dravidian style of avoiding the caste names. You are the descendants of Lord Devendran. You are a unique community   in the world like Jews. Jews of Israel used to be proud of Jesus Christ because Jesus Christ born as a human being  in their race. Like Devendran community Jews also had a lot of social, economic and political problems right from Jesus Christ period. They migrated from their own lands to various parts of the world as traders and business people. They were disintegrated for more than 2000 thousand years. About 6 million Jews were killed during the Second World War Period by the Hitler forces. Still they have emerged again as an intellectual business groups of the world. Most of the largest business leaders, entrepreneurs, scientists, film produces are from this Jews race only. They feel they are superior and different from others. Similarly DKV Community also should feed proud of your generations. You are the descendents of Devendran who is very much associated with all Hindu Gods and Goddesses. No race or no community in India can claim this credit. The above suggestions are recommended to make the DKV community people to have a respectful position in our Hindu society. Those who are interested to get job opportunities in government services also a welcome one. In such cases youngsters can try their luck in both central and state services, banking services, railway services, police department, assistant grade examinations, staff selection commission posts, civil service examination, JRF/NET examination, military services, group A and B services etc. This write up is only a brief summary of a detailed report under preparation for DKV community for their economic development. Be united and strengthen the hands of our prime minister Modiji and Amit Shah Ji in bringing BJP party getting more  M. P seats, a minimum of 20 seats,  in Tamilnadu in the 2024 Parliament Election and  Maximum seats in 2026 Assembly Election to form a BJP  Government" in Tamil Nadu. BJP Government means it is the Government of DKV Community.
DKV people should maintain communal harmony wherever they live. Maintain a good relationship with others is very important for a peaceful atmosphere in your work place as well as living areas. Don’t hesitate to reveal your caste identity among your friends and neighbors. Nobody is going to underestimate you. People will respect you more by knowing your community. The entire credit goes to Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) and their leaders. Shri. Modiji and Shri Amit Shah ji liberated the DKV community from the clutches of Dalitism. They are the real heroes for DKV community. For Devendran Community they are like what Gandhi ji for India. The DKV people should be thankful to them forever in this world.
